Donna Pellegata ~
Artist/Illustrator
Donna Pellegata is an internationally known artist
with a career that spans more years than she would like to admit. Her work includes
numerous commissions including murals, portraits, contemporary paintings, hand
painted furniture, glass lampwork and children’s books.
Donna is a member of the Society
of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), The Children’s Book
Illustrators Group (CBIG) of NY, childrensillustrators.com, The Village Fine
Arts Association and the Huron Valley Council for the Arts in Michigan. Her
first illustrated picture book was published in 2008, “The
Harp Mouse Chooses her Home: The Adventure Begins” written by Diane E Dunn. She
recently completed the illustrations for “The Enchanted Tree of Crooked Lake”
written by Rachel Longhurst, author of “Where My Story Begins” to be released
in 2010 and is currently working on the illustrations for Diane E Dunn’s next
book in the Harp Mouse series to be released just in time for the 2010 Milford
Memories Art Fair.
Donna owns ArtQwerks studio in Howell Mi and devotes full time to
children’s book illustrating, people and pet portrait making and fArCiCaL fOlK
aRt creating.
